About the Author:

 JAMES J.F. FOREST is Director is Terrorism Studies and Associate Professor in the Combating Terrorism center at west Point. He has published over ten books on terrorism and counterterrorism, in addition to numerous articles and commentaries including, Countering Terrorism and Insurgency in the 21st Century: International Perspectives (Praeger  Security International, 2007), Homeland  Security: Protecting Americas Targets (Praeger Security  International, 2006 ), and The Making of a Terroist: Recruitment, Training, and Root Causes (Praeger Security International , 2005 ).
