ABOUT THE BOOK

India and Sri Lanka share more than just a stretch of ocean—they share centuries of stories, faith, and friendship. The book entitled “India–Sri Lanka relations focus on convergence, cooperation and partnerships” invites you to look beyond the headlines and discover the living ties that connect our peoples every day. This book brings together voices from both sides—policy experts, doctors, scholars, gender champions, and young thinkers—to explore how our countries are working together on the issues that matter most: climate change, health, education, water, oceans, women’ leadership, and cultural exchange.

Through real stories and fresh perspectives, this volume shows that true partnerships are built not just in meeting rooms, but in classrooms, clinics, and communities. It reminds us that the quiet work of cooperation—rooted in trust, respect, and shared hopes—can shape a brighter, more connected future for all South Asia.

Warm, insightful, and deeply relevant, this is a book for everyone who believes that neighbours can be partners, and that together, we can meet our greatest challenges and unlock new possibilities. Step into the story of India and Sri Lanka—where borders are not barriers, but bridges.
