This book is a running commentary on the spread of Coronavirus, a bio-agent with enormous destructive powers. It began in the Chinese region of Wuhan in late 2019 and quickly spread to crush the entire world. This book summarises global unpreparedness as well as humanity’s unequal struggle against an enemy of immense stealth and resilience – and how it tortured an imbalanced humanity.

It briefly tells how the deadly virus originally ravaged southern Europe, infecting millions and killing thousands before anybody knew what was causing the outbreak. And then, with cyclonic speed, the giant bio-agent overran the entire developed globe across Europe and the Americas before the befuddled governments and renowned medical institutions there realised what had happened. Powerful presidents, tyrants, and autocrats couldn’t match the dreaded virus, but certain small and efficient countries governed by engineers and/or economics gladly listened to their medical specialists and better protected their people and saved lives with dignity. Also revealed here is how the non-discriminating Corona uncovered great democracies, exposing their latent authoritarian tendencies and insensitivity to people`s sufferings on one side, and love for the use of police power to abuse masses on the other.

What is also covered in this work is the ‘way forward’ for the distressed humanity, in terms of how to securely and productively live with the virus that is going to be a part of our system for a long time to come.

Dr U V Singh has been  a management consultant, primarily specializing in productivity—acceleration activities in corporate work environments. He possesses a brilliant academic record, a PhD in 1966 from IARI, New Delhi--and soon after a Post-Doctorate from CNRA, Versailles, France.

For over 40 years he earned and accummulated valuable work experience in varied corporate work environments.

On turning a senior citizen he tested his capabilities as a wordsmith and for the past over a decade he has worked his skills on a variety of subjects.
