The chapters in this book are by academics and
researchers from United Service Institution of India and International Ataturk
Alatoo University. The research was conducted through inter-disciplinary
approaches giving comparative perspectives. All the chapters in this volume
have identified the convergences and divergences providing in-depth discussion
on the contemporary relevance of the study. The chapters give an understanding
and possible direction on how to enhance the scope for cooperation and engagement

Maj.
Gen. Bal Krishan Sharma, AVSM. SM** (Retd.), is the Deputy Director Research
and Head of Centre for Strategic Studies and Simulation at United Service
Institution (USI) of India, New Delhi. He specialises in Strategic Net
Assessments, Scenario Building and Gaming. He conducts strategic games for the
National Defence Collage, Higher Command Course of the Army, Navy and Air Force
and Academy of India Foreign Service, New Delhi. He has edited books and
digital magazine for USI of India titled Strategic Perspective, and also
written articles in Indian Foreign Journals on strategic affairs. He regularly
delivers lectures at premium military and academic institutions in India and
abroad. He regularly participates in international conferences as well.
Dr
Nivedita Das Kundu, PhD in International Studies, is Senior Research
Advisor with United Service Institution of India, New Delhi. She is the
recipient of Pushkin Medal. Her research expertise focuses on geopolitics,
geo-economics, foreign policy, multilateral organisations, border issues,
migration and strategic dimensions of security. Dr. Nivedita has worked
extensively on Silk Route and transport corridor issues and concerns. She has
contributed widely and worked on her research expertise in India and abroad.
She is the recipient of various prestigious fellowships from national and
international academic bodies for conducting study on her research expertise in
India and in other international academic institutes. She has authored and
edited books, monographs and published research articles on her area of
research. Her recent books are titled China`s One Belt-One Road: Initiatives,
Challenges and Prospects and India`s Emerging Partnerships in Eurasia:
Strategies of Regionalism.
