The Golden Age of Zen is one of those rare books that show
us the essence of mind. It looks at the great Chinese Zen master of the 7th
to 10th Centuries AD, and portrays them in their ‘five house’. It
enables us to situate their teaching and enjoy it in its context. At the
sametime it also clarifies the confused western ideas of Zen Buddhism.
