It looks into a series of important Economic, Political and Technological factors, inter alia, the growing global demand for energy, the ongoing deregulation of gas and electricity markets, a preference for natural gas as the cleanest of all hydrocarbons, and the decline in the cost of producing and shipping Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). This comprehensive work has been divided into six distinct sections, covering the specific aspect of natural gas technology or business in great detail. This handbook goes deep into the global gas technology, policy and market issues not only looking backward, but also helping readers understanding the future as these global natural gas markets mature.

ABOUT Author

Dr. Parag Diwan is currently Vice-Chancellor of the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies. Prior to this he was the Dean and Director of the All India Management Association (AIMA). He has also been the CEO of a dot-com venture in the golden days of the E-commerce revolution. He has authored and edited over 40 books, 200 technical  and research papers and many multimedia based learning modules. He is also reciepient of Outstanding Leadership Award from Get Energy UK and chentel foundation Mumbai.

Dr. Ashutosh Karnatak is presently working with GAIL (India) Limited as General Manager (Projects). He is an Electrical Engineer with Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) Finance, Master’s Degree in Technology (M.Tech) Energy Studies. He has completed Ph.D. (Management from University of Petroleum & Energy Studies on the subject “ASIAN GAS GRID (AGG) A Critical Analysis of its Feasibility”, which broadly covers execution of cross-border pipelines, techno-commercial analysis, geo-political issues etc.
